Glucose is a kind of sugar that is present in certain foods. Sometimes we call this group of foods carbohydrates. |

With your group come up with a list on your whiteboard of all the carbohydrates that you might know. |

Now show your list to the rest of the class. How do the group lists compare? Are there any things listed that your group does not agree with? If so, ask the group who recorded that food a question that helps them explain their answer. |
