Lung Size and Speed

Do you think all animals have the same size lungs compared to the rest of
their body?
Do a search on the Internet and in books on different animals from very
small ones to ones as large as an elephant. Find out how large their lungs
are.
Make a list of these animals and mark ones that move a lot or can run
very fast.
Now make a list of animals that don’t walk, run, or fly very fast.
If these animals were all the same size, do you think they would all have
the same size lungs?
How would a person be affected if his lungs were only half the normal
size?
