| ExtensionPasta Circulatory System Project
In this activity your group will use pasta to make a model of the
circulatory system. Before you begin, look back over what you have
already discovered about the circulatory system.
Now, with your group, choose one member to lie down on a piece of
butcher paper. Trace around them.
You now have an outline of a human body.
Using the pasta available from your teacher, make a model of the
circulatory system inside the body. Your teacher may have you glue the
pasta in place or just place it on the paper until each group shares with the
class.
Questions for your group to analyze your pasta circulatory system:
1. How many different pastas did we use? Did we use some of them all
or select only a few?
2. What sizes were the pastas?
3. How did we decide which pasta to use and in what order?
Materials
various sizes of pasta:
large tubular for major
arteries, then smaller
and smaller down to
the smallest for
capillaries. |
